Slice Of Cheese (SOC) is an internet-based football simulation where people can manage football clubs and face off against opponents around the world. Some features have been introduced to introduce a balance of realism and fairness to the game, and are explained throughout this document. SOC uses the ESMS+ v3.35 game engine to simulate matches.
The competition is based on the Australian A-League, with the potential for NPL (National Premier League) divisions to be added if enough people are interested in playing the game.
The name “Slice Of Cheese” was inspired by the exploits of amateur commentators Corndog and Gilly from the FFA Cup a few years ago, when they described a yellow card as a slice of cheese, the greatest of many memorable commentary moments in that game.
The game is completely free to play.
